Kurs Polskiego - jutro!

  5. "Jest trudny język!": In this and similar cases in a beginning of a sentence, just like in English - "To jest (it is) trudny język!", or you can omit the "is" part, and say "To trudny język!" when speaking in present, but not in past ("to był") or future ("to będzie").

It's a hard task. -> To (jest) trudne zadanie.
It was a hard task. -> To było trudne zadanie.
It'll be a hard task. -> To będzie trudne zadanie.

Finishing, "podniecać" (dictionary said it's "to excite", I presume) has a very strong sexual connotation, it'd be something like "to turn on/to get aroused with", it's muuuch better to say "( Ja ) nie mogę doczekać się nowego kursu" / ( I ) can't wait till my new course/ or as Anonymous said "Ekscytuję się nowym kursem" /I'm excited with a new course/, but I bet you'll never hear the word "ekscytuję" in a day-to-day Polish, it's not used.

Don't use "to excite" as "podniecać się" in everyday life or you're gonna get into trouble :)

Found your blog via Michael's Jeziorki. Willing to comment, correct, and help with anything regarding your learning "here, there and everywhere" :)

I'm a native Pole, so sorry for my English if I made any oh-my-god errors :)

  6. @Chris:

Wow! I'm so grateful for your corrections! When I asked people to participate with corrections or suggestions, I certainly wasn't expecting so much. Thank you so much!

I will be careful with podniecać! "Nie mogę doczekać się nowego kursu." I'll go write that down 50 times!

If you hadn't told me English wasn't your first language I never would have known. This is the level of fluency and accuracy to which I aspire! Thanks again.
